Meeting the Queen is the 11th episode of Season 2
Plot
All the engines on Sodor are excited when the new Queen is visiting the island. Everybody wants to pull the special train, except for Gordon, after he begins to doubt his usefulness. Thomas is still in disgrace from falling down a mine, and wonders if he will stop working on his branch line and he knows he won't be pulling the train as he is too small.
Sir Topham Hatt asks Henry to pull the train, which makes him very happy. However, his mood soon changes after a painter drops a bucket of paint all over him, and there isn't enough time to get it cleaned before Henry has to leave to pick up the Queen. So the Fat Controller turns to Gordon and Thomas to help sort everything out. Thomas organises all the coaches in the yard, and Gordon pulls the train. When the Queen arrives, all the engines are delighted, especially Gordon and Thomas, who are specially talked to be her. In the evening, Thomas and Gordon both realise that they are really useful engines.
